I'm running for Glendale City Council to put the "public" back in public service."

Many in the Glendale community may recognize me from my regular attendance at city council meetings over the past year, advocating for rental assistance for low-income seniors because rents in Glendale are some of the highest in the state, and the struggle is real.

But what started as advocating for rental assistance ended up as a weekly shockfest where I witnessed money being spent and decisions being made that defied some of the most basic principles of common sense, decency, fiscal responsibility and fairness.

When the one-year anniversary of my public participation was nearing, I realized that I wasn't any closer to getting any meaningful rental assistance for the low-income elderly. That's when I realized there was something very wrong with this council. So, I decided that I would run. No amount of research, well-reasoned arguments, evidence, or even pleading was having much of an effect on this council, no matter what the subject matter was. The only way to change things was to do so from the inside.
YOUR CHOICE: NOT Business as Usual

This election is not business as usual. On June 2, 2026, voters will decide whom they will trust to address the issues of unaffordable housing that development has actually made worse, rising utility bills, reckless city spending, crumbling streets and sidewalks, traffic congestion and dangerous drivers, increased property crime, and a host of bad decisions by a city council changing Glendale without public consent.
There are three open council seats and many candidates, some of whom are very wealthy and have a campaign to show it. I am not one of those. I’m a renter on a fixed income, and that’s exactly why I’m running. I represent the more than 60% of Glendale residents who rent and feel ignored. But I don't just represent them.
YOUR CHOICE: NOT Business as Usual
I represent anyone who feels that a city council needs to be guided by ethics, objective standards for decisionmaking, transparency, accountability, and practical SOLUTIONS, not empty promises, and certainly not a disregard for the needs and desires of the public.
Each time in front of council I've pushed for compassion, reason, fiscal responsibility, and real community engagement, partnering with residents, not imposing policies upon them.
